Dr. Steven W. von Elten

After graduating from the Honors Program at William and Mary, Dr. von Elten attended the Medical College of Virginia. While studying at MCV, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha, Honor Medical Society, and then completed his residency in Blackstone, Virginia. During the four ensuing decades, Dr. von Elten has lived in Warrenton practicing both family and emergency medicine. Dr. von Elten holds certifications in numerous fields, including Clinical Lipidology (study of cholesterol and atherosclerosis), Geriatrics, Electrocardiography (American College of Cardiology), and Medical Review Officer. He has been closely involved with Fauquier Hospital and has served on the Parent Board for 20 years as well as President of the Medical Staff and Medical Staff Representative to the Executive Committee. Over the years, Dr. von Elten has been voted Washington’s Top Doctor and Best Physician in Warrenton.
